These Terms of Sale govern all purchases made through the MyStudyMates website at https://mystudymates.com. By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
MyStudyMates is owned and operated by MyStudyMates Limited, located in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before placing your order.
2. Our Products
MyStudyMates sells educational materials including activity books, story books, and self-help books designed for children. All products are subject to availability.
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, and prices displayed on our website are accurate. However, we reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies at any time, including after an order has been placed.
3. Pricing
All prices on our website are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without prior notice. However, the price you are charged will always be the price displayed at the time you placed your order. If a pricing error is discovered after your order is confirmed, we will contact you before processing payment to give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.
4. How to Place an Order
To place an order on our website:
- Browse our products and add your chosen items to your cart
- Proceed to checkout and enter your delivery and contact details
- Select your preferred payment method
- Review your order summary and confirm your purchase
- You will receive an order confirmation email once your order is successfully placed
Receipt of an order confirmation email does not constitute our acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, in which case you will receive a full refund.
5. Payment
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank Transfer — Payment details will be provided at checkout
- Debit/Credit Card — Processed securely through our payment provider
- Online Payment Platforms — Such as Paystack or Flutterwave where available
All payments must be made in full before an order is dispatched. We do not offer credit or instalment payment unless explicitly stated in a promotion.
Your payment information is processed securely. MyStudyMates does not store your card details on our servers at any time.
6. Order Confirmation & Processing
Once your payment is confirmed, your order will be processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive an email notification when your order has been dispatched.
Business days are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (WAT), excluding Nigerian public holidays.
If there is any issue with your order — such as an item being out of stock — we will contact you within 24 hours to offer an alternative or a full refund.
7. Delivery
Delivery Areas We currently deliver within Lagos State and to select locations across Nigeria. Please contact us at info@mystudymates.com to confirm delivery availability to your location before placing an order.
Delivery Timeframes
- Lagos (Mainland & Island): 2–3 business days
- Other states in Nigeria: 3–7 business days
Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, such as courier delays or public holidays.
Delivery Fees Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location. Free delivery promotions, where offered, will be clearly stated on the website.
Delivery Responsibility Once an order has been handed over to our courier partner, responsibility for the delivery passes to them. MyStudyMates is not liable for delays caused by the courier. However, we will do our best to assist you in resolving any delivery issues.
Please ensure your delivery address and contact number are correct at checkout. MyStudyMates is not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect information provided by the customer.
8. Returns & Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase from MyStudyMates. If you are not happy with your order, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item.
Eligibility for Returns We accept returns under the following conditions:
- The item received is damaged or defective
- The wrong item was sent to you
- The item is significantly different from what was described on the website
Non-Returnable Items We are unable to accept returns for:
- Items that have been used, written in, or damaged by the customer
- Digital downloads or printed materials that have been unsealed
- Items returned more than 7 days after delivery
How to Initiate a Return To request a return, email us at info@mystudymates.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and packaging
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days with instructions on how to proceed.
Refunds Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
9. Cancellations
You may cancel your order at no charge provided it has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, contact us immediately at info@mystudymates.com or call +234 816 068 7767.
Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and the returns process will apply instead.
10. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, MyStudyMates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that order.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
